What I'm Thinking

OK, I've been staring at the Beck book more than I've been reading it.  That is NOT a reflection on the book, but more of a reflection of my having already read it and my familiarity with its content.

Sometimes these things are more profound the first time you read them.  Anyway, it does have me thinking about what I'm thinking about.  And I have drawn up a diagram that details my thought process . . .

OK, I do need to work on my thinking.  I better open the book . . .

Still at 10 again.

**sigh**

  1. There are different things you can do with thoughts like this. If you are someone who does better with all or nothing, it is a good idea to say "no ice cream again." For me, this doesn't work. I am generally a black and white kind of girl, but if I forbid myself from something I need to do it more. I am better with setting more reasonable rules. For example: I can have ice cream one night on the weekend. I will have only one scoop. That helps me.

Everything in moderation. It's been said so often for a reason! Substitution comes to mind. Ice cream is fine; but when had, something else must go; the banana, or the peanut butter...

  6. That...looks a LOT like my own thought process when it comes to treats and goodies. BUT as Yam already stated...everything in moderation. A spoonful or two isn't a bad thing...just be sure not to dig into the whole carton! - Amanda
