Tuesday

Good morning!

Oh no!  I can't believe it but I totally forgot to take a picture of lunch!  I must have been on auto-pilot. Anyway, it was the same thing as usual.  I went back to find a photo I could use for a "reenactment" and realized I have been messing up my lunch photo for quite a few days.  I wonder if that has any significance?
(A reenactment.)
OK, it was bound to happen.  Hubby and I are "Bread-a-holics".  So far this addiction hasn't caused us to rob banks or anything so we haven't tried to "reform".  We just try to keep it under control. Some times are easier than others.  Today we stopped at the bread store.  We knew no good could come from this but we were ready to walk on the wild side.  They always have samples and today was no exception . . .

It was quite tasty.  They also had peach scones (the REAL ones with all the full fledged fattening stuff, and muffins, and other yummies but I did NOT pick them up (normally I would have). However, I saw something that I never had before (and it was 50% off) so I decided to get it and try it out for Coffee Break . . .

BTW, these little paper plates I use are not THAT big, just dessert plate size. These slices weren't as big as the photo makes them look (my computer screen is large and it looks really big to me right now).  The loaf looked a lot like a banana nut bread loaf and seemed moist.  So I was expecting a dessert bread taste/texture.  I had no idea what the chips were.  I only know that it was VERY heavy. Now that I ate it, I can say it definitely is NOT a dessert type bread.  It did not have the moist taste I expected and I still don't know what the chips were.  I assume they were cinnamon chips (DUH!) but the cinnamon taste was very subtle.  It wasn't bad tasting but not nearly as good tasting as it looked. However, it is very filling.

For supper I had cantaloupe with pineapple and cottage cheese.

And a slice of pepper cheese bread.  It was too peppery for my tastes so I won't have it again.

That's a wrap.

Thats some Nice rationalizing about the plate being small and the camera making the picture bigger than it looks, um huh!! LOL

hehehe Julie.... reenactment food made me think of regurgitation, not pretty.... as I've mentioned before, I have a bit of yeast issue, but it must be confessed that really good, fresh-baked artisan stuff can have appeal and may be worth the effects. Buckwheat is always heavy I find... YAM xx
