My Aching Butt

You might know that I have been dealing with bursitis for over a year now.  I've gotten it injected a few times but mostly I am trying to figure out how to live with it.  It's located at the point where my hamstring attaches to my hip . . . pretty much my butt.  So sitting is a pain, quite literally.  Sitting at the computer is miserable after about 5 minutes.  So I finally ordered a desk riser so I could work in a standing position.  It came today.

I can comfortably stand to work at the computer.  Bob models . . .

Notice the paw under the desk ha! ha!

As one who has been battling sciatica for a week, I can empathise! Actually, last year I purchased a not dissimilar item, but it has the ability to extend the lower section and thus become a 'table' for when one is seated, or change its balance for working in bed and such. It is VERY useful and transportable.

The only observation I would make about your setup here is that to have the mouse on the top shelf is going to put stress on the shoulder over time... it would be better to be placed on the under-hang - i.e. slightly below elbow height. This is the ergonomic advice. over and out!
