Need A Cuke??

My cucumbers are coming in but unfortunately my tomatoes are not keeping up pace.  I haven't gotten ANY tomatoes from my one good plant (that has full sized ones) so I've been squeaking by with the little cherry sized ones from the other plant.

It's nice to be able to enjoy a salad.

I've been making much better choices but then my weight spiked up.  Dang!  The grandkids are spending the night tonight.  If we don't get washed out we're going to the County fair.  We didn't get our run in this morning because I just didn't feel like dragging my butt out of bed early to do it.  I think late summer brings me a "heat fatigue" despite the fact most of my time is spent in the house where it is air conditioned.  Not much else to say!

that looks so fresh and yummers!!! I do think there comes a point in the year when one feels less in energy than others - I tend to call it my 'hibernatory instinct'!

  2. That is a lovely looking salad. I have just learned to eat cucumber. It is not a favourite of mine. The tomatoes are starting to be available here. I have a black thumb but have a veggie share at a local organic farm and we have been getting huge cucumbers and this week a bag of tomatoes.

  4. Dad and Mom were house-sitting for friends from church while they are on vacation who had the wimpiest tomatoes. The day they were due to come back Mom went to the store and bought these big beefsteak tomatoes and TIED them on the vines. It was SOOO funny when Jean and Lyle figured out what happened.
