I haven't posted in awhile because I haven't had too much to say. I've been doing a better job of making good choices and I don't want to "hex" it lol!
This is a good plan for every aspect of your life but today I will just address it in terms of fitness, body and weight issues: Be careful who you compare yourself to!
Here are 3 different screen grabs from three different fitness challenges on my Fitbit. You can see some people are in more than one. This is basically the same thing as last week and by the end of the week it was very interesting. In one I was 2nd place, another I was in the middle and the third I was near the bottom. The app limits people to participation in only 5 challenges but I like to do several as just one never tells the "true" story. This is based solely on number of steps. I have no doubt that at the end of the week I will once again find myself at the bottom of one of these challenges. That's okay.
That's hubby ahead of me. I expect our top position will be quickly overtaken as the week goes on. |
Hanging tight in the middle! |
I might stay on the top on this one. |
I believe that everyone needs to define for themselves the meaning of the word "enough". How much money is enough? How big of a house is enough? How might weight loss is enough? How much exercising is enough? The sooner you can define "enough" for all aspects of your life, the happier you will be. That's one of the few things I've figured out about living a happy life.
OK, that's enough for now . . .
Amen to our personal 'enough' being defined. That is probably the best advice of the week...move YOU up to the top spot.

ReplyDeleteToday only have I realised that 'fitbit' is not just a step meter but some kind of online club.. I guess a little competition is healthy. Knowing one's correct level of 'enough' is quite the challenge in itself!
Eyes-on...YAM xx
I just read a blog post on another blog about determining what is enough for you in all aspects of your life and have been thinking about this a lot, so it is funny that you also wrote a post about this. I hope you have found your "enough" (I always think we could have one more dog, 2 isn't enough lol!)
ReplyDeleteYou're brave, I'm still keeping my fitbit details between me and my laptop!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should challenge someone on steps taken Thursday though as there's a tube strike in London (again!) so I'll have to walk to work!
