Normal

I didn't take any food photos the past few days because we didn't have any Internet while we were in Crescent City (where we met Dory & mom).  But I do think it is working for me (in between the nachos and ice cream LOL!) so I am going to get back to it,  However, I am going to try an minimize the boredom factor for readers (or maybe give a little something more).

I like looking at a good bridge but not necessarily driving over them.  I suppose it might have something to do with my fear of water.  Anyway, this bridge kept finding its way in my path.  So when I found myself running under it I snapped a photo.

This is the smallest and most simple of all the lighthouses we saw.  Something about its simplicity made it look foreign to me.

I love the redwoods!  Since I come from a state with lots of green and many trees, I occasionally get a bit "tree hungry".  In this state it is VERY dry (second only to Nevada) so the trees are sparse.  These aren't the best pics, I haven't downloaded my camera yet.

And for my "green fix" . . .

Now that we're home, I am getting things back to "normal".  We're going to do a long run tomorrow (a day late).  We'll have to get up at 4:00a.m. to make it tolerable.  We really came home to hot temps!  It's 101 (38.3C) today and going to be as hot tomorrow.

And for those of you who watched me eat all that ice cream and nachos, you're probably wondering what the scale had to say about it.  Some folks might delay the inevitable but I am a "it is what it is" type of person so I got on the scale this morning.  I prepared for the worst, hoping my activity level would provide me with enough grace.  Apparently it did.  163 pounds (73.9 kg).  So, still need to knock off that 8 pounds (3.6 kg)!

I'll start back with the food pics at the end of the day.  Later gators!
