Day Seven

New Shoes!

Gummy Life Savers & root beer barrel - For carb boost mid-run.

Crap!  Didn't get in all 13 miles!  Got soaked by mile 1, accidentally set off a business alarm trying to seek shelter, new shoes soaked, headache over left eye and then a bird pooped on me.

Yup, same ol' same ol'!

I love those peach scones.  Hubby makes them and they don't have sugar in them BUT they do have butter.  My "rule" is to only have them on a long run day but I break that rule on a pretty regular basis.

For your scenic viewing.  Our house is on the right (closest to camera).

The dogs in the flower photo are Reggie & Leroy predecessors to Murphy & Stanley

I hated admitting to this but it was given to me on Friday and kept calling my name.

Taken from our front yard, looking across the street.

I threw the extra photos in to give you a diversion from just seeing photos of food.  I hope it made the post more palatable for you!

Hahahahahahah - the views kinda sorta worked.... but those peach scones intrigue me! Left over b'day cakes are best 'offed' and then all distraction is solved. It's a theory as good as any... Crikey though - seems we have the same weird weather stuffs; sorry about the new shoes! Eyes-on, YAM xx

  3. Hi, My first thought upon seeing your new blog was you don't need to lose any weight but congrat's on working towards a goal you feel you need to achieve. Over the holidays, when I was feeling awful, I lost 10 lbs. When I was young, I was always so skinny, way to skinny but couldn't gain any weight. Then over the last twenty years I've battled and although others always say I don't need to lose any lbs either, I know that I feel much better on the leaner side. Right now I fluctuate about 3-4 lbs and once I start riding again, I should be good. Just don't want to get beyond where I am now.
Loved seeing what you eat. Thanks for sharing and encouraging others.
    Hugs, Noreen

  6. A very interesting blog! I loved the comments from your 9.5 run!! I too have experienced the bird poop. Always at the most inconvenient time too! I started a weight loss plan such as yours. And it did so well that after the first few pounds coming off I actually cut most of my portions in half. And I eliminated chocolate completely from the diet. And combined with strict portion control the weight started coming off at the rate of 2 pounds a week!! And I didn't do much exercising then. 28 pounds have come off and I am working on loosing another 15. I did purchase a pair of Norwegian Walking poles and I know the weight will come off. And the best part is I lost the 28 pounds and for the first time in years I have not gained back any weight! Something new for me and I am very happy about that!! You are following a great plan...I like the idea of photographing everything you eat. Makes you accountable doesn't it! I am going to enjoy your journey and have already joined your site. Best of luck to you on this life changing journey!! Oh, I forgot, my name is Gail and my blog is Thelifeofarescuedpoundpuppy.blogspot.com. The star of my blog is Little Willow who is a younger sister to Mistaya and Maggie. The blog is about 8 years old already!! Keep up our great work!! Gail
