Hi. I lost nearly 20 kgs (44 pounds) by cutting out bread, weighing myself daily, which seem to work for me, keepng a record on daily weight and by increasing my exercise to twice daily sessions. Either swiming, biking or walking. Regards Liz
Mum finks yous being very brave doing this thingy butts what a GREAT idea! Mum's soo not brave enuffs to do it though….probably she'll find those 10 pounds you lose! Loves and licky kisses Princess Leah xxx
Hari OM ....Carol.... you know I am going to be supportive... but as a health professional, albeit retired, am going to have to 'weigh in' (ahem) from time to time with some serious observations... you're allowed to ignore me &*)
A couple of salient points; a) once past 55years [I don't know your age, but bear with me], we need to permit ourselves up to 5kg {ten pounds} over the given 'averages' for healthy weight. 'Tis a fact. It's a hormonal thaaang. b) 'averages' were developed for 'average' humans..... (rolls eyes) c) unless you are on a medically supervised diet, daily weighing is a hiding to nothing other than creating angst and guilt. All responsible authorities recommend weekly weigh-in, same time of day [such as just before brekky for example], so that you get a genuine snapshot of YOUR average. d) given your active lifestyle and seeing here a decent enough portion control, perhaps for this short time of 'summer tune up' what you are really needing is a short and dedicated cleanse and clarify regime. That would mean no nanas, pnut butter, fizz drinks or hard cheese....or white bread.....
For most folks, the advice would be to reduce portions, cut out the snacking and up the physical movement. However, you pretty much do all this already 'cept maybe the snacking! ...For the fun event you seem to be wanting to attempt here, that might be the place to start. I just popped over to the blog you have listed to right and using carrots and berries as replacement snacks is superb - a suggestion I always made and was a hit, was to grate the carrot along with some celery and mix in two teaspoons of sultanas then dress with just a little lemon or lime juice.
That's my penny's worth for today.... eyes-on... YAM xx

We think keeping a blog is a great idea! We don't have any diet advice for you and I guess that's bcuz we're a tad over-weight ourselves.
