My Tat

I honestly believe that staying physically active is a quality of life issue. This is especially true as we age. I hope to continue running for my whole life but if the day ever came that I could no longer run I would switch to a strong walking program. And if the day ever came where I could no longer walk, I would do whatever I could.

The human body was created for movement. It is capable of so much more than we can imagine. It thrives for decades despite our abuse. As I get closer to my upcoming "holy crap" 60th birthday , I wanted to commemorate it in some way. These are the thoughts behind my tattoo.

  1. How pretty! My Dad is a firm believe in that, running until his 70's, biking until his 90's, weights and swimming to this day. I do believe he made it as long as he did, 96 years, because of those principals, playing 9 holes of golf every day until he got cancer, and had some issues. May you have a wonderful new years, and many, many more years of running.

  2. So wonderful!
I read this book once and it said "life is movement". That has always stuck with me.
    Enjoy it!

WOO HOOOOOOOO!!! Good one... and what you say is so true. When I developed the Rheumatoid Arthritis in my early teens, due to being told it was 'growing pains' (??!!! was already at my completed height!), I just kept moving; then came the days when I couldn't. But I still did. I have spent my life continuing to move even when I ought not to have. Now I am a little more sensible. Not a lot. Just a little. I don't do mountains anymore. Snail's pace. Walking-stick and lots of sitting between. But still moving!!!
    Eyes-on... YAM xx
