Long Run Day!

I am sooooo happy to report that the wind changed direction sooner than was expected so the air was not as smoky for our run!  I think it was about an 80% improvement!

We started wearing headlamps since it is so dark when we start out.  I'm glad I have strong ankles because I hit a pothole and twisted my ankle.  I can't believe I wasn't injured because it really twisted bad!  Whew - dodged that bullet!

It was a hard run today.  I'm not sure why but my legs felt heavy.  Oh, maybe because I stepped on the scale this morning and they WERE heavy!  I decided I either need to cut back calories or increase my activity.

Seriously, my non-running days are not really active days.  I think just addressing them will make a difference - I hope!

Isn't it amazing how long I've been working on this blog and yet failed to make any improvement?  I'm consistent, just in the wrong direction!




  1. I had a falling out with my scales this morning, they are nearly as disobedient as Leah is!!!!

    OMDness gal - be careful with those ankles!!! All activity would be interrupted if you did any damage there. Very glad your air is on the improve - may it remain so. Re 'no change'... it comes back to the likelihood that your body is at its optimum for you at this point in life. The key thing is that nothing else is changing UP the way!

  3. I'm glad you got a run in. It does help with the calories to be active (said LB - the three toed sloth of the office today)
