The sunflower on this blog is the one I grew last year that I named "Joy". She measured about 12" across. I really enjoyed my sunflowers though I didn't have many, just a few in the front yard and about 6 in the backyard (that didn't do really well). I enjoyed them so much that I planted more this year. All over the front yard in fact! They are supposed to be giants but some of them look like they are getting heads on them so we'll see.

ReplyDeleteI Love sunflowers - I so wanted to find a sunflower fabric to make the skirt for my 40's farmhouse sink, but had no luck, but I did find a pretty retro floral print that was bright yellow Your yard looks lovely.
